Alcohol and your health and fitness goals

We have all heard health organizations and fitness coaches give warning warnings about the effects of alcohol on our health and fitness. If your goal is weight loss, then alcohol is counterproductive to your goal. You may be saying the obvious here, but it is worth reminding everyone that alcohol can literally sabotage all your healthy eating efforts to eliminate everything that is doing well with your training and a clean diet.

Things you should know about alcohol and your fitness goals.

Alcohol has many calories compared to proteins and carbohydrates. Alcohol contains 7 calories per gram, since proteins and carbohydrates contain 5 calories per gram.
The calories of alcohol do not provide nutrition and will not satisfy your appetite. This is the reason why it is easy to keep drinking once you are on a roll. It is easy to get carried away by a drink session once it starts.
Alcohol decreases fat burning. Putting it in simple terms, your body will burn all the alcohol you have consumed before it becomes carbohydrates and fats.
There is a direct correlation between the highest results of the body mass index (BMI) and the excessive consumption of alcohol. A recent study has shown that those with the lowest BMI drank 3 to 7 times per week, but only had on average 1 drink per drinking session. Those with a higher BMI drank less on average but had more drinks per session. (That is, excessive alcohol consumption)
Beer and wine contain many carbohydrates in the form of sugar., Which can lead
to cravings and bloating. Mixed drinks are the worst of
the lot, since they contain all kinds of added sugars and
calories
Like so-called low-fat foods, "low-carb" or "zero-carbohydrate" alcoholic beverages are very much a trick aimed at a health-conscious market. Continue reading below for better alcohol consumption options.
Best options for alcohol:

The distilled liquor is technically a pure liquor and does not contain carbohydrates. Where this option usually falls is the mixer that tends to be a high sugar drink or a high sugar juice option. If possible, find a low sugar option to mix with your spirit.
Drinking wine instead of beer and high-sugar cocktails has proven to be the best option if you want to drink alcohol while on a diet or on a continuous nutrition plan.

Alcohol is a big part of our culture and society. When consumed in moderation, it helps us relax and a great social environment with friends. Personally, I have seen people make the decision to switch to a glass of wine instead of beer and mixed drinks with really good results in terms of weight loss results.
